MPEG Software Development Kits (SDKs)
MPEG SDK Features
All of our SDKs have the following features:
- Can be integrated into both post-processing and realtime applications
- Designed with a well-defined, flexible API
- API includes a full set of configuration parameters and a status interface
- Supports MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video, both constant bit rate and variable bit rate
- Supports Dolby AC-3 audio and MPEG Layer 1, 2, 3 audio
- API allows for single or multiple instances and/or threads
- Optional user-controlled task swapping
- Includes sample application code
All of the SDKs are designed to allow either real-time or off-line operation. The input and output (I/O) methods are left open to your application. The SDKs include sample code that shows how to create a file-based application. Modifying the I/O should be straightforward to support other environments.
Because our SDKs use the same processing cores as our products, you can be assured that code modules are fully tested, robust, and efficient.
If your application has unique requirements, we will work closely with you to develop a custom API. We are also open to adding new features or enhancements to the processing cores. Please contact us to discuss a potential custom project.
Operating Systems
All of the SDKs are available for Windows (2000, Server 2003, or XP), Linux (i386+ compatible), Solaris (8 or newer on Sparc), and Mac OS X (v10.3.9 or newer). Other target environments are also available. Please contact us for more information.
Technical Support
Purchase of any SDK includes one year of free technical support and software updates. A maintenance agreement extension that covers support and upgrades for subsequent years is available at an additional cost.
